I am a qualified reward based dog trainer offering highly recommended classes in Bramfield (near Hertford), Harlow, Hunsdon (near Ware) and Watton-at-Stone. I also offer extremely popular in-home training across West Essex and East Hertfordshire.

Adult dog (6+ months old) Classes

Is your dog over 6 months old?  Looking for classes to help your dog be better behaved?  Is your dog pulling you on the lead, distracted on walks, more interested in other dogs than you?  Have you completed puppy classes (anywhere) and looking for further training for your dog?

Want to teach your dog to listen to you as well as learn some fun tricks too?  Happiest Hounds Activities classes on Wednesday lunchtimes at Bramfield are for you.  Using reward based training you will learn how to teach your dog to focus on you instead of distractions, walk nicely on the lead, come when called as well as learning fun tricks and nosework.  With a maximum of only 6 dogs per class, you get lots of attention and tailored advice for your dog.

Want to work towards a certificate award and levels of achievement with your dog?  The exclusive APDT Good Companion Awards classes on Wednesday evenings at Hunsdon are for you.

Hoopers is a great agility based sport with no landing impact so is suitable pre-agility training, a fun sport with less impact or for retired agility dogs.  Hoopers Agility is held on Sunday afternoons at Harlow.  Please contact me if you’d like to join Hoopers Agility.  Classes fill VERY quickly.  Check out the Harlow location page for more details.  Just 6 dogs maximum per class.  Take a look at Happiest Hounds Dog Training YouTube channel to see all about Hoopers!

Meet Lou Bater

Lou Bater, BSc (hons), APDT, UK (01275), ABTC Registered is an experienced reward based dog trainer and has enjoyed competing in an array of dog sports including Agility, Flyball and Canicross with her own dogs

“Having been to both the 1:1 and the group sessions Louise makes the activities great fun but is very professional. She has empathy with both the dog and his/her owner responding to our various individual needs. We have learnt so much from someone whose love and enthusiasm for working with dogs and their owners is boundless. A great positive trainer whose sessions we both loved and learnt from. Thanks Louise”
