My name is Louise and I am a qualified, reward based dog trainer offering dog training services including private one to one dog and puppy training. I offer dog and puppy training in Braintree, Hertford, Wickford and all surrounding areas. I also offer online dog training nationwide.

So what is Hoopers Agility?  A low impact agility based sport where your dog runs through arches (hoops), around barrels and through short tunnels, it is a fun sport where distance handling is focussed on.  A fantastic pre-agility sport, a great sport without landing impact and an excellent retirement sport for ex-agility dogs.

For beginners I have FREE videos on my YouTube channel (Happiest Hounds Dog Training).

I offer in-person advanced workshops at The Adventure Bark in Much Hadham, Hertfordshire and beginner & advanced Hoopers workshops at Developing Dogs in Ely.

Spaces for the advanced workshops are rarely available as they book up super fast, if you’d like to be on the contact list for these, please do get in touch: info@happiesthounds.com

The great news is that hoops are super easy to make yourself – see my instruction video here.  For barrels you can use pop-up garden bins, large plant pots or anything equivalent for your dog to safely go around.  So it’s super easy to practise in your own garden or safe open space!

My Hoopers In-Person Workshops are highly recommended and I have taught many other dog trainers how to teach hoopers including internationally.  I am proud to teach absolute beginners as well as high level agility clients at my workshops.  I set suitable handling challenges for agility pros to ensure it’s not too easy for them 😉

If you’re a dog trainer and would like to host me for a Hoopers workshop for your clients, please do get in touch.  Whether it’s for your clients as beginners, seasoned agility pros or a group of instructors looking to add Hoopers to their classes, I have a tailored a workshop for you.  This can be taught online if you’d prefer.

Here’s what Tamsin Durston (experienced agility instructor at Trent Park Agility Club) had to say:

“Lou came to Trent Park Dog Agility Club to give a Hoopers workshop to our instructor team… friendly, supportive instruction tailored to individuals, a structured session plan that ran perfectly to time and covered a variety of exercises, dog’s welfare considered throughout and delivered with enthusiasm and kindness! Lou was warm, understanding and really knew her theory!! Couldn’t recommend highly enough… we all LOVED the session!”

The small classes are brilliant and you get lots of one to training. All for a good price too. I really recommend the classes”
